Switzerland's airline of choice is known as Swiss International Airlines (LX), although it has gone through a few corporate transformations recently, as have many major airlines. Flights originating from the East coast run daily through Boston, New York and Newark airports. Swiss International Airlines only has limited access to the US, so unless you're flying from one of their designated gateways, you will probably be taking a Delta flight then changing planes at the gateway. This is a common practice for foreign airlines operating in the US.

There are many elegant boutiques and trendy coffee shops within the old streets. The Fraumunster and Grossmunster churches stand impressively facing each other across the river, while the city's oldest, St Peterskirche boasts the largest clockface in Europe. The art gallery, Kunsthaus Zurich and the national museum, Schweizerisches Landesmuseum and the Museum Rietberg are also well worth visiting. For the more adventurous, you can take a hike ontop of the Jungfraujoch, adjacent to the famed Eiger Mountain, where the views are out of this world.
