Delta Airlines History and Service

Started in 1928 Delta Air Lines is one of the oldest airlines in the US. Headquarters are located in Atlanta, GA and its main hubs are located in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Salt Lake City and JFK in New York. Dewlta is the second largest Airline in the world operating a fleet of over 450 aircraft flying to 470 destinations worldwide.

Despite its size it too has suffered financially in recent times and 2005 saw it filing Chapter 11 bankrupcy protection for the first time in its history. While Delta Airlines future is still unknown, its current forecasts show it will emerge from chapter 11 in late 2007 after extensive cost cutting and restructuring.
