Airtran Airways History and Service

Airtran was established in 1993 as a low cost airline which now operates over 650 flights per day utilizing their fleet of approx 120 aircraft of Boeing 717 and 737s. Originally stemmed from the domestic airline ValuJet, it has expanded its routes from its original east coast destinations to the midwest and west coast. It flew it's first international flight to Grand Bahama Island in December 2000 and continues to expand it's list of destinations and non-stop flight availability.
